Not F.A.B in Thunderbirds glasses

Britney Spears seems to be rather fond of her over-sized glasses, and is wearing them at every opportunity.

She took to the stage wearing the metal frames in Australia and also has a pair of huge black glasses.

It does not seem to matter to the singer that they make her look like Brains from Thunderbirds.

The nerdy character, who is a scientific genius, wore large horn-rimmed blue glasses as he invented spaceships, robots and computer software.

Britney might not be up to such technical expertise right now. She is enjoying relaxation time after her Circus tour finished at the end of last month.

From the frap to the dye to the thrusting tongue; all are so iconically crazy Britney that I'm beginning to shake in my Uggs.

AEG Live refuses Spears gig verification

AEG Live Middle East managing director Thomas Ovesen has denied reports that the promoter has secured pop megastar Britney Spears for a Dubai performance later this year.

In a bid to quash widespread rumours and refute the claims of some of the UAE’s major newspapers, Ovesen commented that such an event was “unlikely” to happen in the city, or anywhere in the Middle East.

“The logistical issues of bringing such a huge act to the Middle East would be extremely difficult to resolve,” he said in an exclusive interview with DPME.com.

“Even if we did manage to bring Britney Spears to the region, the ridiculous ticket taxation laws in Dubai would put the emirate at the back of the queue.

“Then, there are also the challenges of routing and finding an appropriate venue. There are very few venues in this region that could cope with such a large production.”

As Jacko found, fame means trusting only cats and chimps

There were many strange tragedies to Michael Jackson's life, but an unexpected sadness is that, in death, this huge global celebrity makes me think, not of Thriller, not even of the Jackson 5, but of a 47-year-old Scottish woman who was allegedly last seen in a hotel in Liverpool crying for her cat, Pebbles. Jackson's death and Susan Boyle's all too obvious unhappiness both stem from the same source: fame.

I have never believed, and nothing in the past few weeks has altered my certainty, that one can be famous in today's world of mass media and 24-hour paparazzi and lead a happy, mentally healthy life. How could it possibly be any different? You are isolated in a tunnel of paranoia where it feels like anyone with a camera phone is filming you for the celebrity website tmz.com, and they probably are. There are many examples one can cite: Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan. All are featured in celebrity magazines daily and, in this new warts-and-all world of tabloid journalism, their self-abuse is covered far more extensively than it was in the days of Elvis Presley. Never has fame looked less fun.

Bikini body shown as she flaunts 'new man'

Showing her new bronzed and toned up anatomy, it appears Britney Spears has at last put her difficulties behind her.

The tanned singer flaunted a supple physique as she frolicked around in a array of two-piece bikinis whilst vacationing in the Caribbean.

It was a pure contrast to this time last year, where she was viewed on vacation in Republic of Costa Rica looking puffy and out of shape.

Britney, who is on a break from her Circus world tour, were joined by her dad and brother and boys Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2.

But maybe it's the new man in her life that has her shining. Britney has reportedly been seeing Jason Trawick, her agent, and by the looks of matters, the singer is infatuated.

The pair cavorted in the water and Britney seems to have made a good recovery after her public meltdown 2 years ago.

It was lately disclosed that the pop star, twenty-seven, who made more than £7.6million last year, spent an eye-watering £6.7million during the eleven months to New Year's Eve, 2008.

And it appears the reported $7,000 a month for accounts on her diet and physical exercise regime has made up.

Miss Spears is long-familiar for her exuberant spending and prima donna requirements but figures deposited with a City of the Angels Court display that she's splashing the money at a value of £609,000 a calendar month.

The singer is basking renewed success after a calamitous couple of years where her more and more temperamental conduct lead to her being admitted into psychiatric care under a mental health order.

But bizarrely, she's now spending more on protection and staff, than she is on the maintenance of her 2 young boys.

Miss Spears, who is on a world tour, spattered out nearly £300,000 on her security measures team and £124,500 on general staff.

In contrast the star, who's worth more than £60million in total spent just £118,000 on her young sons.

Fear of her father, accuses ex managers sister

The sister of former manager of pop princess Britney Spears, has accused Britney of being afraid of her own father, Jamie Spears.

Lufti’s sister Christina made the allegation to a Los Angeles Superior Court judge.

However, father Jamie Spears is looking for an extension to an existing restraining order against Lufti.

From sources at People magazine, Lufti’s sister Christina was a shock witness and told the judge that she had given Britney a prepaid mobile phone. Britney wanted Sam to help her find a lawyer as her father was blackmailing Britney with rights over seeing her children.

Since then, her father Jamie has been given a court order granting him the charge of his daughter’s estate after her very public breakdown.

All of this comes days after Britney left a message on her lawyers phone stating that her dad was threatening to take her children from her.

The restraining order against Lufti was extended until 21st April.

A display of her flabby belly on tour made headlines last month, but it seems Britney Spears was taking no chances with her latest ad campaign.

Her usually muscular thighs look impossibly lean and every bump and blemish seems to have been glossed right over.

The 27-year-old stars in a series of skimpy outfits in the candy themed shoot, including a pink cut-out bathing suit, black string bikini and a white frilly skirt.

She has described the brand's spring collection as 'very hot' and 'very sexy'.

As she made an entrance on a swing, she seemed unconcerned about the danger of being seen from an unflattering angle.

And her slouched pose didn't do her once famously toned stomach any favours.

Now, however, it seems Britney has other matters on her mind on tour, including a rumoured new romance.

She recently enjoyed a wild fling with a young back-up dancer, according to U.S. reports.

Her behaviour has been decidedly tame ever since her father Jamie Spears was named as her conservator, but it seems she took advantage of his absence while he was on a recent business trip in Los Angeles.

'Literally as soon as her dad left, she started getting cozy with a dancer named Gio,' a source told New York's Gatecrasher column.

'It wasn't serious. They had a few romantic interludes, and she bought him a few things - a pair of shoes and some clothes - even though she's on an allowance.'

'They've slowed down since Jamie got back in the picture,' said the insider.

'It's basically over now.'

Britney takes kids for Disney fun

Britney Spears always hoped to have her sons on the road with her during her Circus tour. And the 27-year-old was clearly revelling in being able to share an excursion to Florida's Magic Kingdom with them on Thursday.

With the pressures of Tuesday's first concert of her world-wide tour behind her, Britney looked happy and relaxed as she spent the day at the Walt Disney theme park.

Keen to make the most of time with Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James, the hands-on mum wasted no time hopping behind the driving seat of one of the fun attractions.

The Womanizer star – a former member of the Mickey Mouse club – is in the Sunshine State as part of her tour schedule. She will give two performances there at the weekend before heading on to New York.

Surprise visit for children in Miami hospital

Just hours before taking the stage, pop singer Britney Spears made a surprise visit to a group of sick children at Miami Children's Hospital.

The 27-year-old Spears posed for photos with the children on Saturday.

She's also donating $100,000 to the Big Apple Circus Clown Care program, which brings clowns to young hospital patients.

Spears played at the American Airlines Arena in Miami as part of her "Circus" tour.

The tour to support her hit album of the same name kicked off last week before a nearly sold-out crowd in New Orleans.

Spears' last toured in 2004.

Father Jamie fires three dancers

Britney Spears took a break in the middle of her 44-date world tour by relaxing poolside in Miami with sons Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2.

But father Jamie has clamped down on the tour party, firing three dancers for suspected drug use in a bid to keep the star away from temptation.

The mother of two and her entourage chilled out on the latest stop of the Circus tour, before heading for the next show in New York.

Dressed in a turquoise bikini, and with her hair loosely tied above her head, the singer enjoyed the heat after the gruelling shows which have left her heavily bruised.

In stark contrast to her wild party days, a mellowed Britney looked healthy as she managed to combine a spot of sunbathing with some quality time with her sons who along with their father have joined her on tour.

But conditions on the tour are 'beyond strict', say sources, as the actions of Britney's father show.

The dancers were caught out by a drug test ordered by Jamie, 55. A drug test clause was reportedly written into the contracts of all the singer's 50-plus dancers.

Britney will perform six gigs in London's O2 arena between 3-14 June.

Shoe fashion in new video

Behind-the-scenes pictures of Britney Spears on the set of her new music video for her controversial new single, "If U Seek Amy." Now, fashion hounds have all eyes on Spears. Whether she's playing Britney or "Amy" in the scene, she's looking a little more like Carrie Bradshaw. Well, at least from the ankles down. The designer of the shoes that has girls talking has been revealed to be none other than French shoe master Christian Louboutin.

The shoes won't be available until April, and Spears is the first to wear them off the runway. In the photos, Spears is pictured wearing a pair of multi-strapped, red/orange pumps with rouched petals.

"Designed for Philip Lim's spring-summer runway, the Dillian is an extravagant and very, very high heel shoe with twirly flowers," reads the description on the Christian Louboutin website. "For those who prefer to walk a little less high, a flat version is also available."

The version of the shoe Spears is wearing in the video is made of bright red nappa leather with a blood orange tint. The shoes won't be available until April, but Spears' new video for "If U Seek Amy" is expected to debut in March.

Mum Lynne Looks For Film Deal From Book

Britney Spears’ mum is reportedly on a hunt to find interested parties to turn her tell-all book "Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World" into a movie.

Lynne, who saw her daughter shave her head, divorce from ex-husband Kevin Federline, lose the custody of her kids along with her repeated trips to the hospitals, was said to be on the look out for options to have her personal narration of the Spears family life translated onscreen.

Lynne has penned allegations that "former manager" Lutfi wanted to control Britney, drugged her with sedatives and anti-anxiety pills, and deliberately troubled the singer by doing things such as "hide her dog, throw away her cell phone chargers and even disabled her cars so she could not leave the house unattended".

Housewife Look For If U Seek Amy Video

Britney Spears is currently filming her latest music video for "If U Seek Amy," the controversial new song which has come under fire from parents and critics who deem the lyrics too suggestive. But thanks to some new on-set pictures, the pop star looks to be playing more nice than naughty.

From the pictures, Spears is looking less vamp and more like "Desperate Housewives" character Bree Van De Kamp. Spears is seen dressed up as a suburban housewife, with a pink polo and sweater tied around her neck and a hubby matched in blue. She's holding a pie and has two kids in tow, with one, a girl, wearing a "..Baby One More Time" inspired schoolgirl outfit.

The outfit is reminiscent of Britney's 50's-inspired "Joy of Pepsi" promos but knowing Britney, this housewife will get desperate. She'll eventually act out the controversial lyrics, which feature the real-life mom of two singing the explicit play on words "love me/ hate me/ say what you want about me/ but all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek amy."

Still dating Adnan Ghalib?

Adnan Ghalib insists he is still dating Britney Spears.

British paparazzo Adnan reportedly told friends last month he is Britney's boyfriend, despite her obtaining a restraining order against him last week.

According to Heat magazine, a source claims Adnan - who has not been seen with the 'Womanizer' singer in over a year - said: "I still love Britney. I'm her boyfriend.

"Britney has a beautiful soul. We share something really special. The truth about us will come out eventually, but it's not for me to talk about. I love her."

Adnan's relationship with Britney, 27, was quickly curtailed when Britney's father Jamie became her co-conservator - and was placed in control of her money and affairs - in February last year.

Ready to hit the road

Turns out, Britney Spears' upcoming tour is a going to be a kid-friendly one after all.

Particularly for her kids.

A week after the pop star's premature proclamation that sons Sean Preston and Jayden James would be joining her for her North American road trip—and less than a week after Kevin Federline's attorney said otherwise—E! News has confirmed that a deal has, at last, been made for the Federtots to join their mother for Circus time.

Federline and Spears have hashed out a custody deal for their road tripping, which will more or less mirror the terms of their current arrangement.

K-Fed attorney Mark Kaplan tells E! that all necessary parties have signed off on the agreement, which will allow Spears to see Sean and Jayden on "pretty much the same schedule that she has now."

Spears will continue to have overnight rights to her boys three days and nights per week, with the caveat being that rather than having those visits transpire at her Los Angeles home, they will take place in one of three makeshift home bases which will be set up across the country and to which Spears will commute back to in between gigs.

In addition to L.A., Spears will be renting homes in New Jersey and New Orleans for the duration of the tour. Should he so wish, Federline has also received the green light to stay at the homes while Spears has custody in order to minimize travel and the potential uprooting of the boys.

"Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country, and he is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful," Kaplan said.

Felicia Culotta Back As Assistant

Felicia Culotta, a longtime friend of the Spears family who worked for the singer from 1998-2007, had a brief falling out in 2007 around the time Spears, 27, famously shaved her head.

But Culotta (who went on to work as an assistant for the Jonas Brothers) tells Usmagazine.com she couldn't be happier about teaming up with Spears again.

"Britney has always held a special place in my heart, and over the course of the last year I have seen her work harder than she ever has in her entire life," Culotta tells Us.

Britney Spears' Former Manager Plans Documentary?

Britney Spears' one time manager Sam Lutfi is planning a tell-all documentary about the troubled singer's 2008 breakdown, according to a report.

Lutfi - who recently filed a defamation lawsuit against the Toxic singer and her father Jamie, alleging their claims that he drugged the star were untrue and had caused him "humiliation" and "distress" - is said to be in negotiations with TV network UPN - which broadcast Spears' 2005 reality series Britney & Kevin: Chaotic - to make the explosive program in a bid to seek revenge on the Spears family.

A source says, "Sam has realized that a TV show would get him a large chunk of money and he'll get extra money on the back of it in magazines and newspaper interviews.

"This is his opportunity for him to get his lucrative revenge. To be a big earner, this documentary will need to be full of sensational and shocking revelations."

"Britney is 100% committed to her tour and Jayden and Sean will be joining her," an insider told Britain's Daily Star. "There was never any question of her canceling.

"A deal was in place before the tour was even announced that would allow the boys to travel with Britney.

"Kevin Federline will not be joining them and they're not back together as was also claimed at the weekend.

Pickup guru Neil Strauss dishes on Britney Spears in new book

First Neil Strauss wanted to help average Joes get lucky. Now he wants to help save their lives.

The author of the best-selling pickup-artist book "The Game" is set to release "Emergency," an eye-opening look at how to survive the increasing global risks of terrorism and natural disasters.

Included are tales of learning to kill and butcher a goat, fly planes, deliver babies, evade hunters and obtain a legal second citizenship. And while Britney Spears may never help save anyone's life, the "Circus" singer does make a hefty contribution to the tome.

"When I wrote 'The Game,' I included a story of how I picked up Britney during an interview," Strauss told us of his former days as a journalist for Rolling Stone and The New York Times. "Right after the book came out, Britney called me and asked to meet."

Jaunting to then-pregnant Spears' Malibu home, Strauss was met by the pop star holding a crumpled-up sheet of paper. On it, she'd written "notes from her life, about cheating on Justin Timberlake, about resenting her parents' control and about sexually acting out.

"She wanted me to write her life story," Strauss scribes in "Emergency," out March 1 from HarperCollins. "I knew the book would be incredible."

But when her point people began warring over control, Strauss removed himself from the situation and refocused on his task at hand: living.

Britney Spears, Kevin Federline Finalizing Tour Custody Arrangement

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are reportedly close to finalizing a custody agreement allowing them both to see their two young sons while Spears embarks on her Circus tour in March and April.

Though Britney's blog had already announced that the boys were going to be on the road with their mother, Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News on Wednesday that an agreement would probably be reached in "the next day." He added that Spears will probably see her sons on "pretty much the same schedule that she has now." Spears' lawyer was not available for comment.

As of now, Federline has primary custody of Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, but Spears has been seeing them about three days a week, according to Kaplan. The attorney didn't think the boys would be attending Britney's shows, but instead K-Fed would be taking the boys to "various central locations in various areas of the country."

"They will be available in her life when she is done with the rigors of performing," he clarified. "He is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful."

Deal for Britney's Boys on Tour Not Done

Although Britney Spears' blog on her official site yesterday announced that her boys Sean Preston and Jayden James would be joining her on her Circus tour, ex-husband Kevin Federline's lawyer says not so fast.

"We are working toward that," K-Fed attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan tells E! News. "There can be an agreement reached in probably the next day, but there is not an agreement that is signed yet."

The agreement they're moving towards will allow Britney a similar amount of access to the two boys as she has now, around three days per week, with Kevin accompanying his sons to areas like New Jersey, New Orleans and L.A., where Britney can easily travel to from concerts.

"Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country, and he is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful," says Kaplan.

"I don't think the kids will be at venues. They will be available in her life when she is done with the rigors of performing," Kaplan explains.

Court blocks effort to depose Spears

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Britney Spears will not have to undergo questioning in a Florida civil case filed by her former manager at least until summer.

Clay Townsend, an attorney who represents Johnny Wright, said the pop singer won't have to be deposed until August, following a closed hearing Monday. Townsend argued that Spears appears competent based on interviews and appearances.

A court commissioner blocked efforts last year to depose Spears in the case, which was filed in Orlando, Fla.

Townsend claims she is the only person who can answer questions about specific periods of her music career. Attorneys for Spears' father, who has control over the singer's personal and financial affairs, declined comment.

You won't stay thin like that Britney

Months of intensive dance rehearsals and a new diet regime have finally paid off for pop star Britney Spears.

But the singer clearly hasn't given up all her bad habits as she was seen slurping on two iced coffees at the same time.

Britney, who struggled to regain her form following the birth of her two children and well-documented health problems, paraded her new body in a pair of denim hotpants yesterday as she visited her local Starbucks in Hollywood.

It was a rare public appearance for the 26-year-old, who has spent recent weeks holed up in an LA dance studio preparing for her highly anticipated comeback tour.

Her toned and taut physique is the result of careful calorie counting and vigorous work-outs which she admits have been a struggle.

But clearly even Britney realises, it can't all be famine and no feast.

She told the January issue of Glamour magazine: 'I have had to work hard at getting [my body] back to where it used to be.

Britney is gearing up to kick of her 44-date Circus tour, which begins in New Orleans on March 3 and ends in London on June 14.

Indian leg in Britney’s tour

Pop star Britney Spears is set for a Bollywood dance routine in her upcoming world tour, Circus.

The buzz is that Britney will flaunt a B-town-inspired gig during her much-hyped world outing.

And helping the pop diva perfect her dance moves is Indian choreographer Rujuta Vaidya.

“Britney was not used to the Bollywood style of dance but she is a fast learner and she picked it up well. I know she was excited about doing it because she is the one who selected us,” Rujuta told a New York-based website.

It is believed that Britney will flaunt desi dance movements in the track Me against the music, also known as Rishi Rich Desi Kulcha Remix . “In the beginning of the jig, Britney makes an appearance from under the stage in a veil, and she really likes that look,” said Rujuta, adding that elements of African dance and aerial stunts have made it an amazing production.

“It is the only time when all 12 dancers are on the stage simultaneously,” she told the portal. Apparently, Rujuta made it to Britney’s list from among several choreographers who were also keen on creating the dance moves for the pop diva.

Britney Spears obtains restraining orders

A person close to Britney Spears says the singer has obtained a restraining order against former pal Osama "Sam" Lutfi and one-time boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. Attorneys for Spears and her father, who is her legal conservator, received the order Friday. The person, who was not authorized to speak on the matter publicly and requested anonymity, said Lutfi and others were trying to gain control of Spears' affairs.

Lutfi was a manager and friend of Spears, whose mother once accused him of grinding pills into her food to control her. Ghalib, a paparazzo, had dated the singer.

The exact nature of the order, first reported Friday by the celebrity news site TMZ.com, was not clear; a court official said the documents remained in a judge's chambers. Messages left for Sam Lutfi were not immediately returned.
